A former nurse an active member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Lake Forest, F. Ellen Wallace, 73, died Nov. 10.

Wallace was a 1964 nursing graduate of The Cradle in Evanston,  and dedicated her life to the care of others. For more than 40 years, Ellen was an enthusiastic member of her church.

The daughter of the late Lew E. Wallace, Sr. and Florence R. Wallace of Lake Bluff, and sister to the late James Wallace, Wallace is survived by her sister, Jacqueline Wallace Napier, who now resides in Libertyville, and her loving brother Lew E. Wallace, Jr., who resides in Sumter, SC. Additionally she is survived by many loving nieces and nephews in and around the Chicagoland area and South Carolina.

A memorial visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, followed by a service at 11 a.m. - both at Faith Lutheran Church, 688 Deerpath Road, in Lake Forest. A reception will follow. Interment will be private.
