New Event Date! Get face-to-face with the ‘Ace of Cakes’ and Chicago-area pastry chefs at YBLC’s ‘Night of Dessert Stars’

You don’t have to be a foodie with a sweet tooth to appreciate the kind of talent that makes dessert one of the world’s favorite food groups.  Today’s best pastry chefs have a gift for creating some of the guiltiest pleasures on the planet, a gift that has skyrocketed some of them to celebrity status. Wouldn’t you just love to actually meet them in person? Well here’s your chance.

On May 19th, YouthBuild Lake County (YBLC) is bringing top Chicago area pastry chefs together with Food Network star Duff Goldman for A Night of Dessert Stars to benefit YouthBuild Lake County, a non-profit dedicated to helping young people achieve their dreams through education and job training.  It promises to be a fantasy night of fun and desserts created by these super chefs and judged by the “Ace” himself.

The YBLC Spring Benefit is being held on Saturday, May 19, 7-10pm at the Hyatt Deerfield (Lake Cook and 294). Ticket price is $150. Not only will attendees meet the chefs and taste their creations, they’ll have the chance to bid on some great Silent Auction items, enjoy appetizers and beverages, and have their picture taken with Duff Goldman.

World class decadent desserts, one-on-one with celebrity chefs, and a chance to improve the community by helping young people at risk to become happy, productive adults….sounds pretty sweet to us!

If you or your organization would like to join Procter & Gamble and Jelly Belly Candy Company as a sponsor, or donate items for the auction, please contact event coordinator, Lexi Zerivitz at LZerivitz@youthbuildlakecounty.org or 847.473.3483.
