Lake Bluff VOTE Committee Seeks Candidates for Village and Library Boards
Would You Like to Serve on the Lake Bluff Village Board or Library Board?
The VOTE (Volunteers Organized To Elect) Lake Bluff steering committee is in the beginning stages of generating interest among citizens of Lake Bluff in serving the community on the Village Board and Library Board of Trustees.
The VOTE organization supports the election process by helping the community become acquainted with candidates through presentations at town meetings. The group also helps candidates get to know the responsibilities of office and do the necessary legwork to get on the ballot.
There are four positions open in the April election for the Village Board: three Trustees and the Village President. Village Board terms are four years. The Library Board will have five positions open: four four-year terms and one two-year term.
Lake Bluff residents interested in serving and seeking more information about the responsibilities of these offices and the election process should visit the VOTE website at www.VOTELakeBluff.org. Additionally, interested individuals can call VOTE Steering Committee co-chairs, Ed Duffy (224-456-9247) or Jim Gillen (847-234-6736) for more information.
