YouthBuild Lake County (YBLC) Is the Recipient of a Website Service Grant from the Taproot Foundation
April 6, 2012, North Chicago, IL – YouthBuild Lake County (YBLC) has been awarded a service grant award from the Taproot Foundation for the purposes of redesigning the organization’s website. Taproot Foundation is a national non-profit organization that provides service grants to other non-profit organizations for the purpose of driving social change. Recipients of service grants receive pro bono services from teams of business professionals in the areas of Leadership Development, Strategic HR, Strategy Management, Marketing, Information Technology, and Facilities Design.
“This web service grant from Taproot will allow us to have a greatly improved reach to our current and potential donors, volunteers, employer partners, and most importantly, students,” remarked YBLC Executive Director Laurel Tustison. “We have a strong desire to be extremely accessible with up-to-date information about our programs and their impact, especially as an increasing number of our students rely on their phones for content.”
The Taproot Foundation has assigned an Account Director to manage the pro bono service team and the service grant process for YBLC. For the duration of the five month service agreement, YBLC will benefit from working with a team of professionals that includes a project manager, a graphic designer, a copywriter, a web developer, a marketing expert, and a photographer. The launch of the new YBLC website is expected in the 4th quarter of 2012, at which time YBLC will assume management of the website.
