Breakfast is Homemade at Wildberry Cafe

Warm, cozy surroundings make for a great experience.

You could stand on a corner and look around until a restaurant sign draws you in. But we've got a better idea.

Each week, Lake Forest-Lake Bluff Patch picks a great restaurant either in town or nearby that is worth checking out.

There’s no better beginning than breakfast, so here’s this week’s choice:

Wildberry Pancakes and Cafe Overview: Wildberry offers a delicious assortment of freshly prepared breakfast items as well as an attractive ambiance.

“Everything’s fresh, everything’s made from scratch. We don’t take shortcuts,” said Manager Kevin Bethyo.

Decor: Dine amid beautiful surroundings. Wildberry offers warm décor, elegant, yet comfortable, with a huge fireplace. In summer, the brick patio offers al fresco dining.Breakfast: Egg dishes are popular at Wildberry.

“We use farm-raised, double A grade eggs; they are the freshest on the market,” Bethyo said.

Wildberry offers a huge selection of egg dishes including skillets and fluffy omelets.  elections include the Napa Valley fig omelet, with figs, havarti cheese, bacon and scallions. Try the waffles, pancakes or crepes with fresh berries – no frozen berries here.

No breakfast restaurant is complete without a good cup of joe and Wildberry fills that order with organic, fresh ground Intelligentsia.

Lunch: Customers often say Wildberry has the best burgers around. There’s also an organic turkey burger, made with free-range turkey breast. Choose from about a dozen different salads, served with homemade dressings.
