Caucus-Backed Candidates Win District 67 Race

Fisher, Schuler and Andersen dominate voting results.

 

Lake Forest Caucus-backed candidates Lesley Fisher, Gary Schuler and Bill Andersen each received more than 1,000 votes in Tuesday's election to overwhelm independent candidate Gary Finley for the three vacant seats in the Lake Forest School District 67 Board of Education race.

Finley, who ran as an independent, had 684 votes as of 9:30 Tuesday night which included Election Day, mail-in and early voting ballots counted.

Andersen led the caucus trio with 1,161 votes followed by Fisher (1118) and Schuler (1109). There are still provisional ballots and late-arriving ballots to be counted.
