Chat on Facebook: Mom's Talk Question Asks for Your Input, Questions
How can you help your child with the death of your pet?
This past week, my brother almost had to put his dog to sleep. She is 15 years old and is the only dog his oldest daughter, who is 10, has known.
Same for his 3 year old, who likely doesn't completely understand the brevity of the situation.
For now, the dog is doing better.
If you have had pets in your family, chances are you may have already dealt with this issue, maybe with fish, guppies, hamsters, or turtles.
For some kids, it may be their first time dealing with the concept of death.
So our question is: How can you help your child with the death of a pet?
Join us as we take a look at a question which revolves around the daily issues Lake Forest and Lake Bluff parents confront in raising their kids.
This is an opportunity to not only give your own sage advice, but pose questions to the group who may have been there and done that.

I would love to hear comments. I dread the day we'll have to deal with this and would welcome the advice!
