Deer Path Coach Talks About State Wrestling Meet

Nine Braves will compete for Deer Path Middle School at State Finals.

 

With nine members of the Deer Path Middle School wrestling team heading to the State Meet Friday and Saturday in DeKalb, Veteran Coach Jim Troemel took time to talk to Patch about the wrestlers’ chances on the sports’ biggest stage for junior high students.

Competing for a state championship are Cory Barth (215 pounds), Caleb Durbin (90), Andrew Tuttle (90), Quinn Dailey (80), Marko Tupanjac (119), Chris Wasser (100), Liam Pooler (112), Peter Kennedy (126) and Alex Svigos (155).

Patch will have an interview with the eighth grade representatives and Troemel Friday. For those who cannot make the trip to DeKalb, they can follow the results online.
