Four Starters Return for Scout Soccer Team

Parry will build a squad around five veterans and some promising newcomers.

Last Year’ Record:               14-5-1 overall and 5-1-0 in the North Suburban Conference Lake Division.

Last Year’s Highlights:         The Scouts took the Lake Division title and then defeated Lakes for the league championship. Lake Forest fell to Fremd, 2-1, in the Regional final a year ago. Fremd finished third in the State Finals.

Season Opener:                   Lake Forest opens its season at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday against Carmel in the North Shore Shootout at Varsity Field.

Top Returning Scouts:         Peter Passalino, Robert Schyns, Adam La Vitola, John Roberts and Karl Modrcott.

Leading Newcomer:              Jack Sentell and Jack Duffy.

Season Outlook:                    Coach Rob Parry is thrilled with the team’s work ethic during preseason practice. He is putting a squad together with only four returning starters after losing 10 quality players from the 2011 Scouts. Passalino led the team in assists with eight last season as well as contributing six goals.
