Elawa Farm will offer five additional Master Classes with Chef Gale Gand, Elawa Farm’s Chef in Residence, this summer.

She will kick off the series June 20 with an “Early Summer Fruit” class which will focus on strawberries. Gand will demonstrate and involve participants as she conducts her hands-on cooking classes in the farm kitchen from 12:30 to 3 p.m.

Other classes this summer will be: July 18- Breakfast Baked Goods; Aug. 15, Stone Fruit; Sept. 19, Soup and the Potagė Garden; Oct. 17, Squash.

All the classes begin at 12:30 p.m. and conclude at 3 p.m. 

Gand is also founding pastry chef and partner of the renowned restaurant Tru in Chicago. She is a two time James Beard award winner, host of the long running Food Network show, Sweet Dreams, now airing daily on Cooking Channel, and author of seven cook books.
