Bobby’s Deerfield opened Tuesday with a full restaurant, people at the bar and a few people waiting for tables at 7 p.m.

Deerfield’s newest eatery started letting customers in at 4:30 p.m.

“We’re happy to be here,” co-owner Bobby Arifi said. “The reception for us has been completely overwhelming. We’re going to have 150 people here and that’s a great opening night. We won’t be serving lunch until the 29th.”

People were ordering hamburgers, steaks, seafood and pasta a well as having conversation and drinks at the bar. Two guests, Deerfield Public Schools District 109 Board of Education member Steve Schwartz and his wife, Miriam Schwartz, are fans of Arifi’s other restaurant, Café Lucci in Glenview.

“We’re happy to be here,” Steve Schwartz said. “We’re familiar with Café Lucci. It’ a wonderful restaurant.”

Miriam Schwartz echoed Steve’ thoughts. “The service is fantastic,” she said. “They have a great wine list.”

Is there a location/address?? Would love to try it but have no clue where it is because the author failed to mention this! Is it where Italian Kitchen was located on Deerfield road at Rosmary Terrace? Is it where Masque used to be? Anyone know???

You asked the same question in the last article and it was answered. Do you have a short term memory problem?

So now can we dispense with the faux outrage every time the Patch writes a story and leaves out the address?

Try a site called Google for address info. I did and it took me to bobbydeerfield.com where the address was displayed. Looks like it is on the southeast corner of Waukegen and Deerfield. I was not planning on trying the restaurant before this article, but after hearing "people were having conversation" I am all in. And from photo #1 above, doesn't it appear that sleeves are not allowed in the restaurant? #BringRetail2Deerfield

Alexa, for the record Italian kitchen is located at 648 Deerfield Road, where it has been not only a Deerfield icon but a thriving restaurant in Deerfield for 40 years. Bobby's is where Soprafina's failed, Red Star left with the same fate and Town house came and went.

Go get 'em Beth! - Italian Kitchen is a wonderful DF institution - great food, friendly service (ask for Debbie)!, comfortable atmosphere. Good luck to Bobbys also - the more successful businesses we have, the better! But never forget the Italian Kitchen - great take out (pizza is awesome) as well!

Alexa... You asked this last time there was an article...and people responded. You still need to know ??? You apparently know how to use the computer...so if the answers given above don't do it for you...I suggest Google...or MapQuest...or calling Bobby's.
Yikes girl...get it done!

We were at Bobby's last night - the food is amazing!

In particular, the calamari is the best we've ever had, the filet was sooo yummy & we fought over the coconut sherbet!

Was this a 'soft launch' where people are invited for free food? Don't get me wrong, it's a great way to launch a restaurant and start a buzz, but if the buzz is a news article, the article should mention the 'soft' opening aspect of a full house. Does anyone know?

Disagree with Walter about Italian Kitchen - soup, salad, veal parm, spaghetti and meatballs, ravioli, linguini and broccoli, Italian Beef sandwich, etc - very good - great deserts as well!

But I will say that in a town filled with Italian restaurants (and I haven't tried Bobby's yet), Rosebud is clearly head and shoulders above the rest. It's every bit as good as Taylor Street and I consider that one of the best Italian restaurants in the city.

I personally enjoy the take out food at Italian Kitchen VERY much. But take out is all I will do since the slowness of their service is annoying....

Harvey - I suggest giving Italian Kitchen (in restaurant service) another try - we have found the service to be excellent the last couple of years - and ask for Debbie as your server!

In 2012 made to order food is a rarity. We are so use to standing in line for our food that was prepared days before only to walk up and within minutes it's on your plate. I prefer to wait a bit and get something made as If you stopped over at my house and I prepared a home cooked meal for you backed up with the passion in its truest form. Hence, the waiting a little longer. Some people don't get it. Or maybe they don't want it. Or maybe both. Harry you and I will hopefully see each other devouring our favorite dish as loyal patrons of the Italian kitchen. And yes, Bobby's is on my list- but those good old stand by restaurants will always be on my list.

No need to lash out at anyone who gives you a bad review. If you've been in business for 40 years you must doing well and have many loyal customers.

That's it. We are all going to to meet up at Bobbys in deerfield @ 695 Deerfield rd, hold hands, and sing kum ba ya over some calamari. Then we're all going to the Silver Dollar Tavern in Highwood for pumpkin fest which starts tonight. We are in front of city hall or @ the bar @336Greenbay Rd. See you there.

The owners names are Mary and John . John jr is the manager..... so with all due respect (and I mean that with respect) you are not correct. I do not own it nor have I ever been on their payroll. I would have been a five year old entrepeneur ... Lol.
