State Senator Susan Garrett will host a “Meet and Greet” for Julie Morrison, a Democratic candidate for the 29^th District Senate Seat, at 2 p.m. Friday (Feb. 10) at the Gorton Community Center, 400 E. Illinois Road.

There will also be informal sessions in Highland Park and Deerfield the same day.

Garrett, who is retiring at the end of this year, has come out in support of Morrison's bid.

Attendees can ask Morrison questions in an informal setting before the March 20 Democratic primary.

Morrison is currently serving as West Deerfield Township Supervisor and has lived in the 29^th Senate District for more than 30 years.
