To prevent the flu is good to keep your hands clean at all times. Wash them after opening doors , touching handles and after being in public places please don't touch your face or eat something with your hands if they are not clean. Also wash your hands after shaking hands, specially if the other person is been sick. It is also very good idea to keep very active during the winter , go outdoors well covered and excersice to strenghten your immune system. It works for me.

I think after the flu hits you, is important lots of TLC. Stay home. The herbs steaming sound like very soothen, lots of liquids, It works for me to drink Gatorade. The famous chicken soup. I have a great recipe from my jewish friend. It is all: nutritious, delicious and easy to eat even when your are sick and with not appetite. I Would say get a great book, read it , do the above and rest, rest, rest.
