Lake Bluff Candidates Debate Sunday

League of Women Voters will sponsor a forum for contested races in Lake Bluff Sunday and in Lake Forest March 10.

Candidates seeking spots on the Lake Bluff Village Board, Lake Bluff Library Board and the Lake Bluff District 65 Board of Education in the April 9 general election will debate at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Lake Bluff Recreation Center.

Sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Lake Forest and Lake Bluff, voters will hear from the candidates and have the opportunity to ask questions. Participants can write their questions on a card and a moderator will pose the inquiry.

Four people—Bill Meyer, John Josephitis, Krikor “Greg” Tchamitchain and Eric Grenier—are hoping for the three seats open on the Lake Bluff Village Board while Carole Stroh, Scot Butler, Timothy Kregor, Romain Wojda, Stanley Hickory and Carl Schons are after the four four-year terms available for the Library Board.

Seven people are running for four seats on the Lake Bluff District 65 Board of Education. They are Christine Letchinger, Richard Hegg, John Marozsan, Kate Amaral, Julie Gottshall, Mary Jane Brady and Eric Waggoner.

Candidates for contested offices in both Lake Forest and Lake Bluff will square off in another forum sponsored by the League of Women Voters at 1:30 p.m. March 10 at the Lake Forest Public Library.
