Lake Bluff Elementary School Prinicpal Katie Williams handed in her resignation Monday, effective June 30 after the end of the current school year, according to a release sent out by Dr. John Asplund, superintendent of Lake Bluff School District 65.

Williams plans to retire, according to Kathleen Reidy, communications and public relations person for School District 65.

A search for her replacement will  begin immediately, Dr. Asplund statedin the release, noting the Board of Education, teachers and parent involvement will be components of that search.
