Lake Bluff Police Blotter: Crash Sends Person to Hospital and More
The following arrest information was supplied by the Lake Bluff Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
One person was hospitalized as the result of a three-car collision Jan. 15 at intersection of Route 176 and Waukegan Road, according to Lake Bluff Police reports.
After two cars traveling west on Highway 176 stopped at the traffic light at Waukegan Road, a third car drove into the second vehicle causing the three-car crash, according to the report. There was no report on the seriousness of the injury.
Ismael Chavez-Contreras, 48, of Waukegan was arrested Jan. 13 for driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane usage, driving with only one head light illuminated and driving without a license, according to Lake Bluff Police reports.
Police stopped Chavez-Contreras after observing him driving with one head light working and crossing the center lane while heading northbound on Sheridan Road near the northern Village limits, according to the report. The officer determined he was intoxicated. He was released on bond and will appear in Lake County Court at 9 a.m. Feb. 8 in Waukegan.
The amount of $200 was taken from a wallet left in a jacket outside a room in the 500 block of Prospect Street while the victim was taking a class on Jan. 15, according to Lake Bluff Police reports.
Driver’s License Infraction
Rahtwan Duffie, 26 of Waukegan was arrested Jan. 12 for driving with a suspended license and speeding, according to Lake Bluff Police reports.
Police clocked Duffie driving 84 miles per hour in a 55-mile-per-hour zone on Highway 41 near Highway 176, according to the report. After stopping Duffie, police learned his license was suspended. He will appear in Lake County Court at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 7 in Park City.
