Lake Forest and Lake Bluff Spared as 20,000 ComEd Customers Without Power in Area

The northern region includes Lake Forest and Lake Bluff.

No power outages were reported in Lake Forest or Lake Bluff but as of 8 a.m., 20,000 Commonwealth residential and businesses customers are without power in Northern Illinois, according to a ComEd Spokesman.

As of 9:30 a.m., a spokespersons for the the City of Lake Forest and the Village of Lake Bluff said no outages had been reported in in those communities. In other parts of northern Illinois, that was not the case.

“We have deployed crews, they are going to the areas impacted by the storm," said Tony Hernandez, ComEd Spokesman. "Once they get on site and determine whether they need to clear tree debris they will start restoring power as soon as possible.” The region includes Deerfield.

The northern region extends south to Wheaton, north to Zion, west to Crystal Lake and east to the Highland Park and Evanston area.

ComEd crews will be working to restore power throughout the day and into the evening if needed, Hernandez said.

“It is unclear when power will be restored,” Hernandez said.
