Lake Forest Boy Scout Troop 46 Kicks Off 'Yard and Garden Fundraiser March 2
It's that time again. Lake Forest Boy Scout Troop 46 will begin selling yard and garden products on Saturday, March 2, for its annual fund-raising campaign. The fundraiser extends through April.
The Lake Forest Boy Scout Troop 46, chartered by First Presbyterian Church of Lake Forest, kicks off its 17th annual fund-raising campaign on Saturday, March 2, from 9 a.m.to 1 p.m. Watch for the Scouts out in the community.
The fundraiser runs throughout March and April.
Our fine young men will be in full uniform canvassing Lake Forest and Lake Bluff as they reach out to friends, neighbors, and family.
We’re once again offering “Yard and Garden” products featuring quality flowers, plants, and delivered bulk mulch. Donations are also accepted.
Pick-up and delivery day for flowers and plants will be on Saturday May. Delivered bulk mulch is available per customer arrangements.
The money earned by this fundraiser supports a full year of the Troop 46 camping program, helps to buy tents, equipment and supplies, and supports leadership training. This is our only annual fund-raising event.
Thank you for your continued support.

Troop 46 has a long history of molding young men into good citizens and community leaders. Since it's origins in 1927, Troop 46 has helped more than 150 scouts achieve the rank of Eagle, Scouting's highest honor.
Through their Eagle Service Projects, Troop 46 Eagle Scouts have improved the Lake Forest/Lake Bluff community by completing such projects as pedestrian footbridges, drainage ditch improvements, meadow and forest woodchip pathways, painting and building maintenance, and composting bins for Lake Forest Open Lands; shelving and storage closets for Lake Forest High School Theater Department; a new garden/outdoor classroom for the Neal School in Waukegan; a new prayer garden for St. Patricks Church (Lake Forest); new horse stables for the Equestrian Center; a new outdoor lighting system for an animal shelter, and many more great projects.
Troop 46 is chartered by the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Forest, and welcomes boys of all faiths. The Troop presently has 75 members and provides an active outdoor experience that includes monthly camp-outs, a week-long summer camp experience in northern Wisconsin, and an annual high adventure trip to such destinations as Philmont, Isle Royal, Northern Tier, and West Virginia.
