Lake Forest Cell Phone Ban 'Grace Period' In Effect
Residents who violate the Hands-Free Cell Phone Ordinance will receive warnings until Oct. 1.
Starting Oct. 1 drivers who violate Lake Forest's Hands-Free Cell Phone Ordinance will receive a ticket, The Lake Forester reports.
As of Sept. 1 the law, which bans using hand-held devices while driving, will be lightly enforced for one month. During this grace period, Lake Forest Police will only be issuing "warnings" to offenders, according to The Sun-Times.

I support the ban it is very poorly marked. Also, is it to be enforced on 43 and 41?

Please enforce the ban as soon as possible. Driving moms are the worst offenders.

I wonder if that teen from HP was texting and had been driving when she hit that family on the sidewalk. I think that driving instructors have to teach new drivers everything about the rules of the road and NO TEXTING while driving!! I know that some of those kids will say: "That will never happen to me".

I actually think this is a great policy. I think the f-1 grace period is appropriate action as well however. Thanks for this post. http://immigration-lawyer-us.com/f-1_students.shtml
