Justin Lansing, a 2007 graduate of Lake Forest College was nominated for a Grammy Award along with his boyhood friend, Joe Mailander, for best Children’s album, according to the Lake Forest College News.

Performing as the Okee Dokee Brothers, Lansing and Mailander received their nomination for the album Can You Canoe. The songs stemmed from a journey they took down the Mississippi River from Minneapolis to St. Louis with two video crew members. Every song has the river in it, according to Lansing.
