Scouts’ Star Performer: Sophomore Halle Frain scored a hat trick and Morgan Dever added a pair while Katie Sullivan added one.
Other Notable Scout Performances: Jessica Staton added two assists from the backfield, with Brenna Carberry adding an assist as well. Goalie Lina Trucco earned her first shutout with one save behind the defense of Amanda McMahon, Caroline Marwede, Lauren Yarkony, Katie Skinner and Staton.
Who’s Next: Lake Forest hosts Deerfield at 4:30 p.m. Friday (Aug. 26).
The Bottom Line: The Scouts got off to a great start led by newcomer Frain. Looks like a tough combination of a potent offense and a stingy defense.
