Lake Forest Police Department Hosts Baseball Clinic
Registration closes Sunday for Halas Hall event.
The Lake Forest Police Department will host its 11th annual baseball clinic for youngsters in grades second through eighth on Feb. 13 at the Walter Payton Center inside Halas Hall in Lake Forest.
The free clinic will be divided into two groups and meeting times. Fifth through eighth graders will meet from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., while second through fourth graders meet from 2:30-6:30 p.m.
The clinic is open to youngsters who reside in Lake Forest, Lake Bluff, Knollwood or have a parent employed by the City of Lake Forest. Each participant receives a free T-shirt.
Coaches for the clinic are volunteers from the Lake Forest police department, Lake Forest High School baseball teams, BatSpeed Academy in Gurnee and the Lake Forest/Lake Bluff communities.
In addition, members of the Lake County Fielders, the new minor league team based in Zion, will be in attendance.

The registration forms will only be accepted at the Lake Forest Police Station. The limit for each session is 125 kids. Registration deadline is Jan. 30.
