Lake Forest Resale Shop Has Grand Opening Saturday

Proceeds will support three local charities.

After a four-month hiatus, Market Square has a resale shop again. The Lake Forest Resale Shop will have its grand opening from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday (April 23).

Formerly the , which closed in December of last year due to declining revenues, the new store will reopen at the same location, 653 N. Bank Lane in Lake Forest, as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Proceeds from the shop will benefit three charities in the community: Mothers Trust, and Family Service.

Store hours during the week will be 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

The shop will open with a fresh collection of items for the chic and conscious consumer, who will find bargains in clothing, furniture, tabletop, kitchenwares, home accessories, media and more.

Thanks to the overwhelming support of the community and volunteers, the shelves are lined with treasures in every department.  From Danish Modern to Limoges, chintz to plaid, and fancy to basic, secondhand items are given new life inside the shop.

The clothing department includes both couture and everyday designer fashions for women, men and kids. A special vintage section also offers authentic designs, from Izod cardigans to 70's gowns.

Donations are welcome each day during shop hours. For pick-up assistance with large items, call (847) 542-1009.
