The Lake Forest High School Scouts placed first at this weekend's Vernon Hills Boys Swimming & Diving Sectional.

With a final score of 263, the Scouts beat out Libertyville High School (256 points), Gurnee High School (239 points) and four other schools.

Senior Peter Grumhaus especially has reason to celebrate. He placed first in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:35.31. He also placed first in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:40.61.

Grumhaus broke the 500 freestyle record with his time, and the Lake Forest 400 free relay set a new record time of 3:08.70.
