Lake Forest High School has released an e-mail to its parent community identifying the 15-year-old student found dead on the Union Pacific railroad tracks this morning as William Laskero-Teskoski, who was a member of the class of 2015.

Laskero-Teskoski's body was discovered at 7:25 a.m. by a Lake Forest High School female student at 1351 N. Western Ave. in Lake Forest, according to Lake Forest Police. The female student didn't immediately recognize what she saw as a dead body. After taking a closer look, she then called 911, according to Pioneer Press.

Lake Forest Fire Department paramedics responded and determined the victim was deceased due to blunt force trama to the head. The Lake County coroner was contacted and responded to the scene.

Police said there were no witnesses to the incident, but are continuing to investigate. At 2 p.m, Lake Forest Deputy Chief Glenn Burmeister said there are still no witnesses and that video from the Union Pacific train, which was heading southbound at the time of the incident, will be passed on to Lake Forest Police in the next "couple of days," Burmeister said.

According to the Gazebo News website, Laskero-Teskoski, a freshman, lived in south Lake Forest. He was a member of the Scouts freshmen football team.

The Lake County coroner's office released a statement this afternoon indicating it was too early to tell if the student was involved in an accident or a suicide. Coroner Artis Yancey added that, at this time, there doesn’t appear to be any connection to the January incident involving a Lake Forest High School student, who was killed by a Metra train in Lake Forest.

In January, 15-year-old Farid Hussain walked in front of a Metra train near the intersection of Western Avenue and Ryan Place.

The Coroner’s Office will not be issuing any additional information until the conclusion of the investigation.

Social workers and counselors at the high school met with students in some of Laskero-Teskoski's classes today to provide support. The news will be shared with the rest of the school this afternoon and counselors, social workers and staff will be available for support.

Additionally, throughout the week the high school will have social workers and counselors on call if a student needs to talk to someone.

“Will Laskero-Teskowski was a well-liked freshman at Lake Forest High School who will be remembered as a young man who was always smiling and was happiest when he was surrounded by his friends and team mates, said Principal Jay Hoffman in a statement released by the school this afternoon. "He was a hard worker in class, a great asset to our football team and a budding track star coming to us after a successful track career in Junior High. Will’s contributions in the short time he was at LFHS will remain a part of our history. He will be missed.”
