Lexi Waits Patiently for a Home

Sweet 7-year-old kitty keeps hoping for a family.

Hello, World! I’m Lexi, a quiet, cuddly 7-year-old domestic short hair who loves to play with fuzzy mice and take naps anywhere with a view.

I’m a laid back girl that is happy to take life as it comes to me. I’m always looking out the window, not wanting to miss a minute of the action outside. In my down time, I enjoy a good snuggle anywhere that is soft and warm.

I’m very sweet and quite laid back. I’m good with other cats, and I have no problem with cat-savvy dogs. I’m also a star with my litter box. I really enjoy the company of my people friends, especially when they are petting or sweet-talking to me.

Like all Young At Heart Pet Rescue animals, I receive top-notch veterinary care. When I first came to Young at Heart, it was discovered that I was heartworm positive. Yes, kitties can get heartworm from mosquitoes, too, but it’s different than dogs, and not life threatening at all. Still, there’s not really a treatment for cats (dogs have all the luck), but the vet wanted to try something to treat me. Each month, I received a dose of heartworm preventative, and now I’m happy to report that I am heartworm negative! Though the rescue recommends heartworm preventative each month so that I don’t get bit by a mosquito in my new home that is a carrier, I don’t require any special treatment of any kind! Just treat me like a princess, and that’s all I need!

Everyone who meets me agrees that I’m a nice girl who really deserves a home of her own. I hope that home has a sunny window where I can watch the world go by!

To take me home, you’ll have to fill out an adoption application. I’m in a private foster home, so when your application is approved, you can come and meet me! I’ll be the pretty kitty in the window.
