A memorial service for Lake Forest High School senior Edward Schutt will be held at 4:15 p.m today (March 27) at the First Presbyterian Church in Lake Forest.
A reception will be held after at Glen Rowan House from 5:30-7 p.m. on the Lake Forest College campus.
Schutt, 18, was struck and killed by a southbound Union Pacific train in the early morning hours Sunday in the 700 block of Sheridan Road across from the Fort Sheridan Cemetery.

I am so very sad and sorry for the loss of your beloved son. My son called me from school on the west coast , totally distraught about Edward. Said what a great kid he was. We spoke about ways he could honor Edward by helping others. Our love and prayers are with you.
