Former Lake Forest High School graduate Michael Patrick Gannon may have lived in Lake Forest for 14 years, but he has always been a man of the world.
Gannon was found dead in his dorm room at Boston College on April 28.
Born in Mexico City, Mexico on April 2, 1992, Gannon and his parents, Jeff and Chrystal, and sister, Michelle, lived in Beijing, Hong Kong, and Singapore prior to coming to Lake Forest.
Michael was a four-year Varsity letter-winner and school record-holder in both swimming and water polo at LFHS. At Boston College, Michael continued to swim and also competed on the Boston College water polo club team. A student in the Carroll School of Management at Boston College, he planned to intern for Honeywell in China this summer. He had also been accepted to study at the University of Melbourne next spring.
In addition to his immediate family, his grandparents, George and Paula Michel, also survive Michael.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent to the Lake Forest Swim Club or mail to: 555 N. Sheridan Road, Lake Forest, IL 60045.

Want you to know that Michael was thought of often. We have a son the same age and we sympathize with you. Do not think Michael is the only one feeling this way. They're so may kids that are struggling.
