Michigan Honors Lake Forest's Vogrich with 6th Man Award

Junior guard nets minutes in all 34 games.

Former Lake Forest High School standout Matt Vogrich has been awarded the Sixth Man Award for his contributions to the University of Michigan basketball team this past season.

Vogrich averaged 10.7 minutes per contest, playing in all 34 games off the bench. He closed the season averaging 2.3 points and 1.3 rebounds per game.

Players and staff were recognized at the 51st annual U-M Basketball Awards Celebration April 10 at the William Davidson Player Development Center.

Michigan finished the 2011-12 season with a 24-10 overall record and a 13-5 Big Ten mark to claim a share of its first Big Ten regular-season title since 1986 and post the most conference wins since the 1993-94 season. The Wolverines earned their highest Big Ten Tournament seeding of all-time (No. 2) and advanced to the semifinals of the conference event for the second straight year.
