Mom's Talk Question: How do you Deal With the Santa Doubters?

We ask. You answer. Join us in this online discussion.

Just this past week, a second grade teacher in New York apologized for telling her students that Santa does not exist.

The class was engaged in a geography discussion about the North Pole, and the students said the reason they knew the location of the North Pole was due to Santa Claus. The teacher then told the students their gifts came from their parents and not Santa.

And this past week in Chicago, Fox anchor Robin Robinson also apologized for telling parents that they should tell children there is no Santa in order to manage their holiday gift expectation.

At some point, kids come to a conclusion about Santa's existence or not, but how do you, as a parent, handle that. How do you keep the magic alive or do you set the record straight at a certain age?

Take a minute and type in a comment about your experience. You'll be helping a Mom who may be approaching this threshold and could use some Mom-to-Mom advice.
