Lake Forest Girls Make Inroads in Loss

The Final Score:  Stevenson 59, Lake Forest 29

Scouts' Star Performer: Allie Danneker hit a pair of three point shots to lead the Scouts in scoring with nine points.

Other Notable Scout Performances: Haley Marshall added six points while grabbing six rebounds. Mackenzie Kenning and Caroline Henry added four points each.

Who's Next: The Scouts (0-11) entertain Zion Benton at 7 p.m. Tuesday before opening play in the Blue Devil Classic at 6 p.m. Dec. 18 against Grayslake Central in Gurnee.

The Bottom Line:  Lake Forest kept the game close in the opening quarter before Stevenson went on a 25-2 run in the closing minutes of the second period and the beginning of the third.

 GIRLS' GYMNASTICS

Date: Dec. 8

The Final Score:  Stevenson 147.85, Lake Forest 146.75

Scouts' Star Performer: Kylie Carlson finished second in the all-around competition with a first place in vault and second in floor exercises.

Other Notable Scout Performances: Katherine McKeon placed third in the all-around competition including second on the uneven parallel bars. Brittany Moccia took fourth in all-around.

Who's Next: Lake Forest competes in the Conant Invitational at noon Saturday in Hoffman Estates.

The Bottom Line: Lake Forest's score of 146.75 is the highest in the history of the Scout's gymnastics program.
