New Families Can Attend Orientations at Deer Path Middle School
Spirit of 67 Foundation offers language program to parents.
Thanks to a generous grant from the Spirit of 67 Foundation, School District 67 parents interested in language learning could have access to a popular online program to facilitate this interest. Currently, all four languages offered in the district are included, and many more (a total of 25 choices are available). Fifteen “seats” have been reserved for parent learning, and these will be allotted on a “first come, first serve” basis for three-month time periods. For more information, contact Joe Malin, email@example.com and share the language you are interested in learning.
Deer Path Middle School families (grades 5-8) new to District 67 are invited to a New Family Orientation/Tour Aug. 21 at Deer Path Middle School-West in the Haskins Center. The tour will provide some general information about the school, APT and community. School administrators, students, parents and local community agency representatives will be on hand to describe opportunities and programs available to the students and parents. New student schedules will be distributed and, following a brief discussion, students and parents will be given a tour of the building. Park in the south lot, behind the school and enter through the back entrance, directly into the Haskins Center. The schedule for New Family Orientation is as follows: 9-9:45 a.m. for a presentation for fifth and sixth grade students and parents, and 9:45-10:30 a.m. for a fifth and sixth grade students and parents school tour; 10:45-11:30 a.m. for a presentation for seventh and eighth grade students and parents, and 11:30-12:15 p.m. for a seventh and eighth grade students and parents school tour.
