Obituary: Joyce Butterfield
Joyce Mae Butterfield was a lifelong resident of Lake Bluff and Lake Forest.
Joyce Mae Butterfield nee Ahlberg, 82, former lifetime resident of Lake Forest/Lake Bluff, Illinois, died Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Saint Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
Joyce was born on February 9th, 1930 in Highland Park, Illinois, grew up in Lake Bluff, and married Frank, her husband of 63 years on October 16th, 1948. She enjoyed spending time with their family vacationing in Three Lakes, Wisconsin. Her hobbies included needle point, knitting and playing cards with her close group of friends. She was a devoted grandmother and enjoyed spoiling her family. While Joyce and Frank lived in Lake Forest, she worked as a women’s clothing buyer for Robertson’s clothing store in Lake Forest, retiring after 17 years. After retiring, she filled her spare time working as a florist for her dear friend David O’Neill at his floral and antique shop.

of Terry Ahlberg, Gail Brown, Van Ahlberg and the late Douglas Ahlberg; Aunt of many nieces and nephews.
