Olivia's Ready for the Next Miracle: A New Owner
Dog survives being shot multiple times.
Here is a great example of the networking between Best Friends Animal Society in Kanub, Utah, and our local rescues in Chicago.

Olivia has experienced a miracle already. But she needs one more: to finally know true love with you!
Olivia’s former people sent her on a dangerous mission to scare away police, who were trying to execute a search warrant. The poor girl had no idea they were putting her in harm’s way. She thought she was being a good dog. But the police shot Olivia multiple times, including once through her neck.
Afterward, they brought her to the Chicago Animal Care and Control to see if she could be saved. And while she looks a little banged up, she miraculously pulled through all of her surgeries like a true champ!
But needless to say, Olivia needs a home that cares about her. A family who won’t put her in danger ever again. Everyone is hoping that someone like you will step forward and give her a loving home.
When you meet her, you wouldn’t believe she survived such an awful ordeal. Her caregivers describe her as a ridiculously warm, happy, easy-going girl. You can always count on her for affection and a tail wag. See for yourself in Olivia’s video debut!
She dreams of a real, forever home with someone to cuddle and rub her belly and a warm spot to nap in the sun (her favorite pastimes), preferably with a blanket.
She knows the commands “sit” and “down” and is responsive to training. Though Olivia shared her former home with another dog, she may be selective about making new dog friends. Definitely no kitties please.
This girl has captured the hearts of those around her. If you give her just one chance, she’s sure to capture yours, too!

Don’t forget to forward this email or share her flyer with everyone you know, too!
