1. 6th Annual Walk on the Wild Side Max Schewitz Foundation Benefit
- Where/When: Elawa Farm Foundation; 8 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Saturday (July 16).
- Why Go?: Fun-filled day for the whole family. Walk through the Middlefork Savanna, participate in some hands-on animal exploration activities, make a craft, learn about some friendly reptiles. Help support the Max Schewitz Foundation which works to prevent sudden cardiac death in young people while also promoting the conservation of fragile reptile species and their ecosystems. Both are missions that were important to Max Schewitz, who died suddenly at the age of 20 from cardiac arrhythmia.

2. Lake Forest's Farmers' Market
- Where/When: City of Lake Forest, behind City Hall, just off Deerpath; 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday (July 16).
- Why Go?: Local farmers and specialty merchants sell local produce, seasonal fruits and vegetables, meat, poultry, dairy products, and more. Local chefs will sell a variety of treats like cupcakes, pies, cookies, dips, salsas, homemade granola, homemade marshmallows and more. Local artists, Jaqui Blatchford and Jolan Horen, from the Deerpath Art League, will be giving a painting demonstration.

- Where/When: Village Green - Southwest Corner of Scranton & Center Ave; 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday (July 15).
- Why Go?: Enjoy fresh fruits, vegetables, summer blossoms and delicious baked goods at the 18th annual Lake Bluff Farmers' Market. Park near the Central Business District at the Walnut Avenue Parking Lot, the Train Station Lot and at Artesian Park.

4. Rummage Sale at St. Patrick Church
- Where/When: St. Patrick Catholic Church, Parish Center; 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Saturday (July 16).
- Why Go?: Proceeds will benefit the domestic violence shelter for women, House of Peace.

7. Lake Forest Antique Auto Show
- Where/When: Deer Path Middle School; 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Sunday (July 17).
- Why Go?: 63rd show sponsored by the Lake Forest/Lake Bluff Rotary and the Illinois Chapter of the Automobile Club of America features 100 Years of Chevrolet. Take a trip down memory lane with the vintage cars. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.
