Platt was Member of Infant Welfare Society of Lake Forest

Longtime resident dead at age 75.

 

 

As a board member of the Infant Welfare Society-Lake Forest chapter, Pamela Stratton Platt sought better healthcare options for women and their children.

Her service continued as a member of The Church of the Holy Spirit in Lake Forest, and the Onwentsia Club.

Platt, 75 and a longtime resident of Lake Forest, died May 11. A memorial service was held May 16. Interment will be private.

An outdoor enthusiast, Platt enjoyed horseback riding in Arizona, Spain & Italy; whitewater rafting in British Columbia and hiking, swimming and boating at Lake Owen in northern Wisconsin.

She is survived by her husband, Dr. William K. Platt; and her children, Dr. Lawrence (Dr. Michelle Snyderman) Platt of Racine, Wis.; Roger (Elizabeth Bisch) Platt of Lake Bluff, Elizabeth Platt of Minneapolis and Kenneth (Stevie) Platt of Houston. She was the grandmother of Ryan, Carol, Owen, Anna, Kyle, Andi and William Platt; sister of Susan (George) Spiel and the late Liza Carr.

In lieu of flowers, make contributions to the Infant Welfare Society of Chicago-Lake Forest Chapter.
