It could have been better, but it's hard to argue with the results.
Lake Forest is 2-0 after defeating Highland Park 23-0 Friday night. For the second week in a row, the Scouts got off to a slow start. But once the road jitters subsided, they dominated Highland Park in all phases of the game.
Patch first talked to running back Scott Powell. Powell, a senior, said he and Hub Cirame are making a formidable duo in the backfield. Cirame scored the Scouts second touchdown on the night, a 20-yard scamper in the third quarter, as well as a touchdown called back by a penalty.
We also spoke with linebacker Trent Williams. Williams, a junior, had an interception and was a key part of the first team defense, which hasn't allowed a touchdown in the first two games.
The Scouts are back on the road this Friday as they travel to Lakes for a North Suburban cross over match up.
