They include: Left Bank in Lake Forest, Sammie's in Grayslake and Mitch's Chicago Style Grill in Grayslake.

Forget these places, Gene and Judes in River Grove is the best you will ever eat, hands down. Go look it up. What these three places make shouldn't even be allowed to be called a hot dog compared to the place I just mentioned.

I agree Gene and Jude's is the best in Chicagoland; Sammie's BLT pita is what I enjoy but I think their hot dog is average- Why is Costco's hot dog and drink in Mettawa not on the list for cheap meal deal. Marilyn

I would have to vote for Burts Deli in Libertyville because they do have a great hot dog and you don't have a vote for the best deli. Try the Yummy special, it's amazing.
