Possession of Alcohol by a Minor
A female juvenile, 16, is being charged with possession of alcohol by a minor, according to Lake Forest Police reports. Her court date is set for Dec. 12 at City Hall.
The police report states that school officials located the subject with vodka inside her backpack during school hours. An administrative hearing citation has been issued.
Maxine Ellman, 63, of Highland Park is being charged with retail theft, according to Lake Forest Police reports. Her bond is set at $5,000 and her court date is set for Nov. 16 in Waukegan.
The report states that an officer responded to a jewelry store at 259 Market Square regarding the theft of a bracelet and earrings that were caught on security video. Ellman was identified by an employee through a photo lineup and the security video.
Driving Under the Influence
James M. Lynch, 48, of Lake Forest is being charged with driving under the influence, according to Lake Forest Police reports. His bond is set at $3,000 and his court date is set for Dec. 11 in Waukegan.
The report states that an officer responded to a complaint of a car stopped in the center of the intersection at Inverlieth and Meadowood for over 10 minutes without moving. The driver was located sleeping in the car with the vehicle in drive and his foot on the break. He admitted to drinking and failed three field sobriety tests. His breath sample demonstrated a blood alcohol content of .244.
Failure to Obtain Taxi License and Vehicle Permit
Aleksander Pretko, 54, is being charged with failure to obtain a taxi license and vehicle permit, according to Lake Forest Police reports. His administrative hearing is set for Dec. 12 at City Hall.
The report states that an officer located Pretko at the West Train Deport offering taxi services without obtaining a city permit and submitting to the cab inspection that’s required.
Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor
Patrick Clark, 18, of Naperville is being charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor, according to Lake Forest Police reports. His administrative hearing is set for Dec. 12 at City Hall.
The report states that police officers and a Lake Forest Fire Department ambulance responded to Lake Forest College for a report of an extremely intoxicated subject. They found Clark intoxicated and transported him to Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital.
Michael Stark, 46, of Lake Forest is being charged with battery, according to Lake Forest Police reports. His hearing is set for Dec. 4 in Park City.
The report states that officers spoke with a teen victim who reported being chased and tackled by Stark after he and a friend jumped up and down on an inflatable Halloween decoration on Stark’s front lawn, and a witness confirmed the account. Stark admitted to chasing the teen, and said he grabbed him because he thought the teen had damaged the decoration.
Jeffrey Muendel, 46, of Lake Forest is being charged with domestic battery, according to Lake Forest Police reports. His hearing is set for Nov. 13 in Waukegan, and his bond is set at $2,000.
Officers responded to a domestic disturbance at a home on the 200 block of East Noble. The female victim had locked herself in a bedroom and called 911 after Muendel got physical after an argument. Muendel admitted to grabbing the victim during the argument. Muendel was placed under arrest and transported to the station for processing.
