Rondout Family Garden Night Is Tuesday
District's presents plans to assist students with disabilities.
Rondout family and friends are invited to drop by the Rondout Garden from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday (Aug. 16) to help with a midsummer harvest of its bountiful Victory Garden.
Families should come prepared to work in the garden picking corn, tomatoes, peppers, and potatoes. Surplus will be shared with local food pantries and community agencies.
Mint plants will also be available for Rondout gardeners to take home. The rain date will be Wednesday (Aug. 17).
Garden enthusiasts can also help us plant a new crop of seedlings for the late fall harvest.

Rondout School will conduct two meetings to discuss its plans for working with students with disabilities who currently attend the private schools in the area, East Lake Academy, Montessori School of Lake Forest, and home-schooled students who reside in the Rondout School District.
The meeting will be held at 9:30 a.m. Aug. 25 and at 6 p.m. Sept. 14 at Rondout School, 28593 N. Bradley Road, in Lake Forest.
As part of that process, this district must disclose information about its plans for the coming school year and to provide an opportunity to offer ideas and input. The District will also share additional information pertaining to how students who are suspected of having one or more disabilities may access the district programs to assess the nature and scope of the suspected disabilities.
