Scout Boys Hold Off Deerfield

Lake Forest High School boys’ basketball team overcomes late Deerfield threat.

Feb. 5

The Final Score:        Lake Forest 53, Deerfield 49

Scouts Star Performer:         Evan Boudreaux had another double double with 20 points and 14 rebounds.

Other Notable Scout Performance: Sam Downey chipped in 14 tallies.

Who’s Next:   The Scouts travel to Stevenson at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

The Bottom Line:      Lake Forest never trailed in the game but never led by more than nine points as they continually came up with the plays to stay ahead of the Warriors. Taking a 43-35 lead into the fourth quarter, the Scouts got what the needed each time Deerfield got within a possession. Key free throws by Boudreaux, Ben Simpson and George Quall in the last minute erased each Warrior Threat. Lake Forest is now 15-6 for the season.
