Some Produce at Farmers' Market Is Very Local

Lake Forest College grows organic vegetables to sell to the school community and at Lake Forest Farmers' Market.

On the Lake Forest College campus is a nearly 500 square foot plot of land set aside for a student garden where a variety of produce is grown for the school and greater community.

“We sell to students and people who work at the college,” Ryan Vlaar, a junior from Vail CO, said Saturday. “We’re also at the Farmers’ Market every Saturday. It’s all local and organic.” The garden is three years old.
