Two Teens Cited for Underage Drinking

Consumption of Alcohol by Minor

April 14: Officers and an ambulance responded for an incapacitatedman at Lake Forest College.Officersspoke with Timothy E. Coleman, 19, of Columbia, Ill., who was extremely intoxicated and vomiting. He was transported to Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital and cited for consumption of alcohol by a minor.

April 11: Officers and an ambulance responded to a home in the 1400 block of West Old Millfor a report of an intoxicated man there.Upon arrival officers spoke to Peter J. Sterna, 18, of Lake Forest, who was extremely intoxicated. He was transported to Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital and cited for consumption of alcohol by aminor.

April 10: Officers and fire personnel responded to a report of a one car accident on Route 41 north of Westleigh Road. Dorcas W. Waweru’s vehicle had left the road, struck and toppled a highway light pole there. The 31-year-old from Waukegan displayed a strong odor of alcohol, had bloodshot eyes, and could notexplain how she had come to strike the light pole. She wastransported toNorthwestern Lake ForestHospital. Waweru later admitted todrinking alcoholthatmorning and wastaken into custody forDrivingUnderthe Influence of Alcohol. She was processed and released after posting bond with a May court date.

April 9: Officers responded to assist Lake Bluff Police and Lake County Sheriff’s deputies search for a vehicle seen leaving the scene of a crash in Knollwood. Lake Forest officers located and stopped the vehicle, driven by Julie A. Love, 55, of Libertyville. Love exhibited a strong odor of alcohol and admittedto drinking.Open alcohol was found in Love’s car and she subsequently failed field sobriety tests. She was taken into custody for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. She was also cited by a Lake County Sheriff’s deputy forleaving the scene ofthe earlier accident.

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

April 6: Francisco Mombela, 19, of Chicago, was stopped after an officer observed him smoking cannabis inside his car. He was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.
