This time it was how the Scouts (5-1, 3-0) accomplished the feat, pulling out a squeaker over North Suburban Conference rival Stevenson (4-2, 3-1).
First, we were on the field right after the final whistle blew. Jubilation reigned as the football team celebrates with the student body. (Video)
Listen to a masked Thomas Kutschke talk about the defense's perfomance. (Video). He only answered a few questions before leaving to sing the school fight song.
Inside a joyous locker room, quarterback Jordan Beck, who may have played the game of his life, talks about the one touchdown for the Scouts, (Video) a 26-yard screen pass to Owen Williams.
The Lake Forest defense played its best game of the season. Safety Phil Sheridan explains how the Scouts swarmed the Patriots' run game, (Video) limiting them to 39 yards total.

The Scouts were the better team, and the way they had to earn and hold down this victory will likely make them even stronger. I was most impressed with our defense in this game.

I would agree, Rich. The defense is very impressive. Fast, physical quick to the ball. Beating a team like Stevenson should give them plenty of confidence the rest of the season. Should be fun!
