On the westside the statio has a small coffee shop that seems to prosper.

Another addition to the station would be a US Mail Box. The existing one was removed several years ago. It is a logical place for a blue box.

Everything being equal I would agree with my esteemed and wise colleague Prof. Michael Ebner. But there are many side issues, including how much will the new tenant invest to restore the station, how could a drive-up window fit in whether chain or independent, and what provisions can be made for post-tenancy restoration if a drive-up window goes in? the space has "issues" such as lack of street presence (as the recent holiday market showed), parking and space volume and configuration. A known brand would make this more of a destination, perhaps.

It would be great to have a leather/shoe repair shop.

No Dunkin Donuts, why promote unhealthy food. Also, there are at least 3 coffee shops in LF: Starbucks, Caribou etc. How about LYFE Kitchen?

How about a good Barber Shop and Shoe Shine, with drop off Leather repair service? This shop would serve Women and Kids as well.
Thoughts?

LuLu's Frozen Delights at 14 E. Scranton Ave in Lake Bluff is inviting anyone from The Patch, the Lake Forest government, or anyone that has an opinion on this to stop in and receive a 20 percent discount on the World's Greatest Coffee, unsurpassed donuts, or fantastic frozen yogurt. The owner of LuLu's frozen delights has been a Lake Bluff residents for over fifteen years and their three children graduated from LF High. If you like the coffee, donuts, oatmeal, and frozen yogurt, please let it be known. LuLu's would love to open a store at the train station.

Not another chain coffee shop! A drive thru is a necessity for young moms like myself, dragging three kids in to a store is a nightmare so I sometimes make the drive to fort sheridan! Local healthy food is a great option. How about a seasonally awesome store - soups in winter and ice cream in summer - like soup box downtown!

Even if it's too much to have a drive-thru, per se, in an age of cell phones we could have curb-side delivery by "car hops" that perhaps I'm the only person in town old enough to remember. This could be pretty easy and not very costly for the outfit in the space. I don't know enough about what Dunkin Donuts hs on its menu these days; but very likely they would respond to what the customer base wanted. They do or did make good coffee, though. And I also go to Caribou (today), Starbucks (last week) and Einstien's (where the last has dropped their French Roast, full-bodied coffee). I think some thinking outside of the box by potential tenants, the City, preservationists, etc. could yield some good results. I hope everybody keeps talking....
