You Might Get Money From Facebook
A recent class action lawsuit amounts to $20 million for Facebook users.
You might want to check your spam. If you get an email with "Notice of Pending Class Action and Notice of Proposed Settlement," it could mean you're eligible for $10 from Facebook, according to Gizmodo.
As part of a recent class action settlement, Facebook might distribute $20 million among users who were used in advertisements without consent, Buzz Feed reports.
Eligible Facebook users need to fill out a claim form, but the settlement also stipultes "if the number of claims made renders it economically infeasible to pay money to persons who make a timely and valid claim, payment will be made to the not-for-profit organizations identified on the Settlement website at www.fraleyfacebooksettlement.com."
In other words, if too many people ask for their money, no one's getting any.

I received that email. I would much rather the money go to charities. Money is money, but my day won't hinge on that extra ten dollars.

So, if u want the money to go to charity, u should apply for it in hopes that too many people do the same. If not enough people do that, they will just pay out the $10.

That's exactly why I filled it out, hoping that a lot of people will so that the money will go to charity. I could care less about a check for >$10.

Right, my point was more that the money should go that way no matter what happens. Another awesome lawsuit that won't really affect anyone and the majority of facebook users won't sign up because they are too young to care.
