Lake County Parents To Participate in Early Education Impact Event

Lake County (October 8, 2012)– Allowing children to play sets the stage for their cognitive, emotional, and social development, and academic learning. On Wednesday, Oct. 17th, parents, community members and early care and education professionals will convene the Early Education Impact Symposium - a powerful presentation and panel discussion about the importance of play in early childhood development.

This evidence-based discussion will speak to the importance of play in early childhood development and what educators, parents and community leaders can do to support developmentally appropriate practice in early childhood settings.

Hosted locally by the Early Childhood Advocates Alliance, the evening’s presentation will also feature a video highlighting remarks from Kathy Hirsh-Pasek, best-selling author of Einstein Never Used Flashcards and A Mandate for Playful Learning in Preschool.
