Lake Bluff Twilight Criterium
A brand new Mini Roadster, on loan for the day from Knauz
Mini, 409-A Skokie Highway, Lake Bluff, will be the official pace car of the inaugural Lake Bluff Twilight Criterium June 1 in downtown Lake Bluff.
This all new Mini, a high performance roadster built for two, plans to go topless when it leads off the first race at 2:30 p.m. The car will pace the racers at speeds up to 40 mph, holding back on its full potential of 155 mph on the open road.
“Knauz Automotive Group is delighted to be part of the inaugural Lake Bluff Twilight Criterium”, stated William R. Madden, President & CEO of Knauz Automotive Group. “The all new MINI Roadster is the perfect pace car for this event. Like pro biking--it’s agile, provides a lively ride, handles brilliantly and defines the essence of open motoring.”
The Lake Bluff Twilight Criterium, presented by Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital, is part of this year’s Lake Bluff Block Party, an annual event that will begin at 4 p.m. on the Village Green.
The Criterium will get into gear at 2:30 p.m. with high-level amateur racing followed by professional men’s and women’s cycling teams. The teams will feature top pro riders from across the United States and many foreign countries.
