Dorothy Wickenden, New Yorker executive editor and author, will describe and read from her book "Nothing Daunted" The Unexpected Education of Two Society Girls in the West.
What would you do if you discovered a cache of letters in the back of a drawer, "Letters from Colorado, 1916-1917"? Intriguing reading? Yes! Two girls just graduated from Smith College, The Grand Tour not an option, decide to go West to find adventure; they become teachers in the wilds of the Colorado Rockies. Her curiosity aroused, Dorothy Wickendem interviewed descendants of those mentioned in the letters and rounded out a buoyant, gripping narrative of life in the real wild West!
