DESCRIPTION:Registration for summer programs at Central Lake YMCA opens u
 p to the general public on Monday\, May 21. It&rsquo\;s the community&rs
 quo\;s opportunity to sign up for springtime activities that encourage t
 he Y&rsquo\;s four core values of caring\, honesty\, respect and respons
 ibility at the Central Lake Y\, 700 Lakeview Parkway\, Vernon Hills as w
 ell as at Northern Lake YMCA in Waukegan.\nSummer programs beginning Jun
 e 4 include fitness classes for kids and adults\, swimming lessons and a
 ctivities for all ages\, martial arts\, CPR and first aid instruction\, 
 and &ldquo\;Club Y&rdquo\; for youth ages 7 and up. &nbsp\;\nBe sure to 
 sign up by May 29 to avoid higher late-registration fees for some classe
 s.\nMeanwhile\, registration continues for Lake County Family YMCA&rsquo
 \;s summer youth camps that begin June 11 at both its Vernon Hills and W
 aukegan facilities.From swimming to craft projects and outdoor education
 \, ACA-accredited Y Day Camps offer a variety of fun and educational act
 ivities under the supervision of counsellors certified in first aid\, CP
 R and AED. Campers will build self-confidence\, discover new skills\, de
 velop a respect for the outdoors and make new friends. They are divided 
 into two age groups: grades K-4 and grades 5-8.\nThere&rsquo\;s also a p
 reschool summer camp experience available for kids 3 to 5 years old at t
 he Vernon Hills Y only.&nbsp\; These young campers will participate in g
 ames\, songs\, crafts\, and several field activities in addition to swim
 ming one day each week.\nRegistration for all age groups can be done on 
 either a weekly or an all-summer basis. Camps dates cover the period Jun
 e 11 through Aug. 24. Space is limited\, so parents should register thei
